KCR failing to live up to its ads

THE KCR Corporation has recently been advertising the high standard of its service to the public.

Perhaps it would be good enough to say when it is going to implement the very practical and necessary improvement, namely the adaptation of the ticket vending machines on the Light Rail Transit (LRT) to take the new coins.

The standard of maintenance of these machines seems to be very low as coins are either rejected, or simply not accepted by the machines at all.

I am tired of seeing trains pull out as I struggle to buy a ticket, particularly at Yuen Long terminus.

Please do not answer that I should buy a monthly pass, my journeys are insufficiently frequent and in any case, monthly passes for senior citizens are unobtainable. Incidentally why is that? GEOFFREY M. HIGGINS New Territories
