Lantern contest open to entries

Pioneer Centre in Prince Edward is holding a Mid-Autumn lantern design competition for young people.

The contest has four categories: kindergarten, primary, secondary and university. There are no restrictions on the size and materials used, but the lantern must be hang-able.

Application forms are available at the mall's customer service counters on the ground and third floors. Deadline for entries is September 10.

The lanterns will be judged on how innovative and colourful they are, as well as how well they express the Mid-Autumn Festival theme. The three lanterns in each category with the greatest number of votes will be awarded a certificate and prize. For enquiries, call 9727 7000.
