Man of the moment Riccardo Tisci's dark, sensual designs for Givenchy come straight from the heart, writes Jing Zhang.
As growing numbers of people insist on outdoor areas looking as good as interiors, companies are meeting their demands and devising ever more elegant materials that can withstand the wind, rain and sun. The CoaXXSweave that covers Royal Botania's Sunday collection (lounger, left, $15,900; armchair, right, $7,200; cushions included) is made from a natural-looking stretch-resistant synthetic fibre said to be among the strongest materials available for such use. The aluminium-frame furniture feels good and looks great, with straight lines and smooth curves courtesy of designers Kris van Puyveld and Frank Boschman for RB Designs of Belgium. The collection is available through Design Link, 6/F, Park Avenue Tower, 5 Moreton Terrace, Causeway Bay, tel: 2838 8299.
