New to Ginger Lily are unusual Philippine coco-and-sigid coffee tables shaped like non-aligned half moons ($8,800, below). Layers of coco are bound with sigid (a vine) and covered with resin, according to shop owner Carole Day. The process continues until the required thickness is achieved. Another product is the rubber-weave lounge suite ($28,000, pictured behind the coffee table).

Ginger Lily, 10/F, Horizon Plaza, 2 Lee Wing Street, Ap Lei Chau, tel: 2518 3588.
