Three suspects have been arrested in connection with the kidnapping, rape and torture of two teenagers in Shenzhen last month.
The victims, who worked as prostitutes using a hair salon as a cover, were held as sex slaves last month. They were taken to a rented house and held hostage for as long as 11 days.
During that period, their kidnappers shaved their heads, stripped them naked and put them in chains. They also tattooed words such as 'Hooker No1' and 'I am a whore' on their foreheads and repeatedly raped them.
The kidnappers forced their victims - an 18-year-old from Hunan and a 15-year-old from Henan - to telephone their families to demand ransoms.
Police rescued the two after tip-offs, but managed to capture only one suspect at the scene. The other two were caught later.
According to Xinhua, police yesterday identified the three suspects as Zhang Zhongming , 27, Li Qiqian , 17, and Bo Zhilin , 28. Also detained was Wang Fang , who was held for allegedly running a prostitution ring using her hair salon as a cover.
