A leading international watchmaker with a portfolio of well-known brands is seeking a quality assurance (QA) engineer - jewellery, for its Hong Kong subsidiary, an established trading group dealing with luxury products.

'Our client is one of the world's premier watchmakers and is now seeking to hire a high-calibre QA engineer - jewellery for its corporate office,' Gemini Personnel client service manager Noel Li said.

The main responsibility of the position will be to oversee the quality assurance of jewellery for the group. Working closely with the US head office on production and quality is part of the QA engineer's role, and therefore fluency in written and spoken English is a prerequisite. Strong interpersonal skills are necessary.

A willingness to travel is required as there will be regular travel in Asia and occasionally to the US.

Production inspection and continuous follow-up on projects will also be part of the day-to-day duties so applicants should have sound communication skills and the ability to work independently.

Candidates must have the appropriate quality assurance and inspection experience in the jewellery industry, with a proven ability to follow up orders from inception to the final production stage.

'A qualification in gemstone or jewellery design would be to a candidate's advantage,' Ms Li said.

'This is an excellent opportunity to learn, grow and be part of a prestigious company's Asia jewellery team.'
