Newish British design house Established & Sons is generating a buzz with a recent Red Dot-award win by one of its founding members, Mark Holmes. His no-frills, powder-coated aluminium Seam One and Two table lamps (above), designed for London-based furniture company E15, were chosen because of their 'high-quality design, displaying innovation in form and function in an exemplary manner', the jury stated. Holmes, who has already won two awards for the lamps, set up Established & Sons with former Wallpaper* chief executive and publisher Alasdhair Willis, Tamara Caspersz and Sebastian Wrong, who is known for his award-winning Spun Lamp for Italian firm Flos. The Seam lights cost $6,700 and are available in white, black, yellow, orange or two shades of grey from Design Link, 6/F, Park Avenue Tower, 5 Moreton Terrace, Causeway Bay, tel: 2838 8299.
