A 36-year-old man hanged himself in his Aberdeen unit yesterday after an argument with his wife. He was found in the bedroom of his Wah Lim House apartment in Wah Kwai Estate when his 30-year-old wife returned home from taking their daughter to school. Initial investigations found no suspicious circumstances. Police said the man telephoned his younger sister at 8am, saying he had had a row with his wife and asking her to look after his daughter.

In a separate case, a 16-year-old boy was arrested for hurling a bowl at his mother in an argument over his studies at their Tsz Wan Shan unit yesterday. Police said the incident happened when the teenager returned home from school at midday. The 41-year-old woman called police after the attack. She was treated at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. The boy was being held for questioning.
