Students at Confucian Ho Kwok Pui Chun College put the finishing touches to their Ba De Wu (Eight Virtues Dance) routine.

The 80 Form Two students' performance will form the finale of celebrations to mark 75 years of the Confucian Academy and the 2,556th anniversary of Confucius' birth at Queen Elizabeth Stadium in Wan Chai this afternoon.

The dance consists of eight sections representing each of the Eight Virtues, one of the core concepts of Confucian thought, and culminates with all the performers paying their respect to Confucius.

This afternoon's ceremony, to be presided over by Legislative Council president Rita Fan Hsu Lai-tai, will include a twin-unicorn dance, a calligraphy competition and singing.
