Beauty and the Beast

TVB Pearl

Walt Disney's full-length animated feature, Beauty and the Beast, is based on one of the most popular

and enduring romantic adventures.

This classic fairy tale about a girl and her encounter with an enchanted beast has long fascinated filmmakers and audiences alike.

The film received an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, the first time an animated feature had ever been recognised in the history of the Academy Awards.

Set in a small French village during the late 18th century, Beauty and the Beast follows the adventures of Belle, a bright and beautiful young lady.

When her inventor-father stumbles onto the castle of a hideous beast and is taken prisoner, Belle agrees to take her father's place.

With the assistance of the castle's enchanted staff - a teapot, an ornamental candle stick and a small clock, among others - she soon learns to see beneath the beast's exterior and discovers the heart and soul of a human prince.

Xtreme Martial Arts

ATV World

This series offers dramatic images of the secrets of martial arts - the thrill of battle is combined with answers to questions that have never been asked before. Many programmes have discussed what martial arts are, but none have focused on how they really work.

This documentary, mainly about the science behind the martial arts, uses special effects to show us what's happening inside our body when fighting or performing demonstrations. The fight scenes are well-choreographed, and the individual demonstrations are impressive too.
