Nobel Prize

Guests at Fortune magazine's 75th anniversary party were given a rare opportunity to meet a Nobel Prize nominee when they gathered recently at Aberdeen's Jumbo Floating Restaurant.

The event was attended by the co-founder of Cambodia-based Village Focus International, Boualaphet Chounthavong. She's been nominated for this year's peace prize for her work helping communities in Laos and Cambodia.

Delighted patrons browsed through the spacious restaurant, enjoying delicious canapes and the al fresco environment.

The night also included an auction, which attracted fierce bidding for items such as classic Fortune photos, limited-edition aged whiskey and Bulgari watches.

Enjoying the festivities were Bank of China International chief Li Shan, Pacific Cigar's Dag Holmboe, Jason Cohen, Taryn Eberts, Universal Music's Harry Hui and Fortune's Clay Chandler.
