The Hong Kong Tennis Association is looking for a sports executive to assist and report to the manager. The position would suit a sports enthusiast with good organisational skills.

The job entails organising programmes for the association, including special events and training.

'We organise events every month throughout the year so the person will be hired to support the event team, help book courts and arrange matches,' said Mona Choi, development manager at the tennis association. Having a good rapport with children would come in handy when working on junior development programmes.

'Knowing sports and sportsmanship, and bringing the good nature of sports to kids and tennis players is a large part of the job,' Ms Choi said.

Good communication and presentation skills are also important as the position requires liaising with the Leisure and Cultural Services Department and other organisations. Candidates who can maintain files and records and prepare financial reports would be at an advantage.

As well as general report writing, the new employee will help produce leaflets and promotional materials. Those with desktop publishing and computer skills are encouraged to apply.

'It's not a very technical post. It requires administrative support and project ownership. A fresh graduate could easily be trained up,' Ms Choi said.
