Eleven boys were injured in a gang fight during the lunch break at their Sha Tin school yesterday.

About 15 boys, aged 15 to 19, were involved in a fistfight  in the playground of the Sung Lan Middle School at about 1pm.

Teachers at the school in Mei Tin Road separated the  two groups before police were called about 1.30pm. The injured students suffered bruises or scratches to the face, limbs and body, police said. They were treated at Prince of Wales Hospital.

The fight broke out after members of the two groups accused the opposite side of staring. A police officer said the brawling students were in Forms Two to Four.



Teens hurt in gang brawl
