Swimmer Sze Hang-yu has been chosen as Hong Kong's flag bearer for tomorrow night's opening ceremony of the National Games at the Nanjing Olympic Sports Centre. The promising youngster, 17, also represented Hong Kong in the torch lighting ceremony for the games in Beijing last month.

A number of other leading Hong Kong athletes will not be able to participate in the opening ceremony, however. The table tennis team are in Wuxi, while the badminton players are in Kunshan. The cycling team are busy in preparation for the track events the next morning and have decided not to attend.
