Seminar to pick 4 young leaders
ABOUT 50 Form Six students from over 20 schools attended the Hong Kong Union for Young Leaders annual meeting recently.
Among them, 10 outstanding students were elected to the sub-committee of the union for 1993-1994.
The Hong Kong Union for Young Leaders was founded by the Hugh O'Brian Youth Foundations (HOBY) Alumni last year.
The union's objectives include offering an opportunity for students to recognise, measure and develop their own leadership potential; making them aware of the problems within the community, and helping them identify their own roles in the years ahead through interaction with outstanding community leaders.
The major activity will be the Hong Kong Leadership Seminar camp which will be held next April. Seminars on different topics will be conducted by experts in various fields.
Four participants from the camp will be picked to represent the Asia Pacific region in the HOBY congress to be held in Arizona in the US next July.
