Design consultancy needs financial controller
An international consultancy firm has designs on an ambitious professional who is good with numbers and multitasking.
Leading multidisciplinary design firm Hassell needs this person to be its financial controller in Shanghai.
The position involves overseeing the following responsibilities: financial management; head office reporting; strategic, financial and tax planning; and human resources and payroll management.
Peter Duncan, managing director, China, said: 'This position is open due to the fast expansion of our China business and the need to fully develop our management in business locations.'
Applicants should be familiar with China Tax Law and standard and specialist finance software, including SunSystems.
They should have 10 years of professional experience, ideally with a service industry background, along with appropriate qualifications.
'The ideal candidate should have had academic training in Hong Kong or overseas, and should have oral and written skills in English, Cantonese and Putonghua,' Mr Duncan said.
'As a design practice, Hassell offers unique opportunities to mix with interesting people and undertake exciting projects.'
The successful candidate will be based in Shanghai and will travel frequently throughout the mainland and to Hong Kong.
An ambitious and capable person could even be promoted to the position of chief financial officer of Asia.
