JNC SSF-M810/SSF-M805: This portable media player not only plays back music and MPEG4 video, but it's also designed as a portable game console, in the style of Nintendo Gameboy and Sony PSP. The M810 has 1GB of memory, while the M805 has 512MB. Both are equipped with a 5cm TFT (thin film transistor) screen and optimised directional buttons for playing games. JNC won't specify the exact format of the games supported, but cites that they can be downloaded from the Web. (Price: $1,490 - $1,890)

Apple iPod nano 1GB: Who would have thought that you could make the iPod nano even smaller? The new iPod nano hasn't shrunk in physical size, but its memory capacity has been cut down to 1GB, compared to the 2GB and 4GB versions sold in stores today. This reduces the number of tracks you can download on it, but is equal to a respectable 240 songs. The new nano is much the same as previous versions - which have a bright colour display and click wheel - but it sells for a lower price. (Price: about $1,160)

Mio A700: It's a phone! It's a PDA! It's a GPS navigation device! The three-in-one Mio A700 smart phone is powered by Windows Mobile 5.0 and an Intel Bulverde chip running at 520MHz.

It also sports a sizable 6.8cm touch-sensitive display and a 1.3-megapixel camera. The Mio A700 also contains digital maps of more than 200 Chinese cities, including Hong Kong, and enables access to a GPS system to pinpoint your location. (Price: $5,580)
