The job requires good skills in selling, negotiating and public relations. The person is expected to ensure customer satisfaction while maximising hotel revenue.

Excellent communication skills will help the candidate perform well in this job.

Alison Lam, director of human resources, said: 'In-depth knowledge of local and international markets will be of utmost importance.'

'The ideal candidate will have a sales background in a five-star hotel or resort, or in the travel industry, particularly in Hong Kong. The person should also have a good network of corporate clients,' she said.

Experience in translating raw business data into insightful market trends will help the sales manager generate plans to grow the hotel's business.

The job also provides language courses in English and Japanese.

Hotel Nikko Hong Kong is known for excellence. Therefore, service orientation is essential for every member of the hotel team. The successful candidate will be expected to improve the standards of service.
