Renaissance for art dealer

One ending is another new beginning for Sin Sin Man. The energetic designer-turned-gallery owner's Atelier, on On Lan Street in Central, will close its doors for good today, but she's busy setting up her new multi-functional gallery, called Sin Sin Annex, in the Hollywood Road gallery district.

'I'm going to miss the On Lan location but I'm trying not to feel sad,' Man says. 'I've been working around the clock at the new space [which opens on March 8]. It's close to a temple and on Wednesday night, there were all these people queuing for Kwan Yin's [or Kwun Yam - the Goddess of Mercy] blessing, and I wanted to go too. I've played the role as a maker of fashion and design for many years, which has given me a great deal of pleasure. But ... representing other artists' work is equally satisfying, if not more.'

As for her On Lan location, the up to 80 per cent discount sale of Sin Sin's designs ends at 7.30pm.

As Man exhorts: 'Come, after today, no more!'
