The Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce received 30 entries for this award. Four companies were cited for the organisers' award and two others have received certificates of merit. The winners must demonstrate that they have applied innovative concepts and creative ideas to their businesses, have strong commercial achievements to talk of, and have contributed to the wider community. The entries are examined on design, innovative and creative concepts, strategic direction, company performance and improvement in key business areas after the introduction of the innovative concepts and their impact on the social and economic life of Hong Kong. A bonus score goes for the 'wow' factor - the 'extraordinary' nature of the innovation.
