Contrary to what she has said at recent events, singer Vivian Chow Wai-man is making a comeback of sorts. The star retired several years ago, moving to Canada with author boyfriend Joe Ngai Jan in 1997. However, in the past few months, Chow has been resurfacing at glamorous events and luxury brand launches. But she has denied she is returning to showbiz, suggesting that any performance she might participate in would only be for charity. Well, she has just announced she is staging three concerts starting on May 26 at the Hong Kong Coliseum. True to her words, the proceeds of the shows are to benefit NPV (Non-Profit-making Veterinary Service Society), a new non-government organisation that hopes to provide veterinary services to pets from low-income households.

Her reported fee is $1 million per concert and the well-known animal-lover will donate it all to the cause.
