SmarTone-Vodafone, with the largest number of 3G handsets brands in Hong Kong, has added Toshiba's first 3G mobile phone for the local market. Made in Japan, the new TX60 clamshell handset comes with a 1.4-inch external display, 2.2-inch screen, stereo twin speakers, stereo headset with remote control, web browser, 2.3-megapixel camera, 13.5x digital zoom, MP3 and full video playback support, mini SD card expandable memory of up to 1 gigabyte, and infrared, USB and Bluetooth connections. It also offers talk time of 190 minutes, video calling time of 100 minutes and standby time of 380 hours on a single charge of its battery. Available in black, white or lime, the Toshiba TX60 costs $4,180. Its special service subscription price starts from $3,380.
