Despite its slight appearance, the Parcel Table (above left) - designed by New Yorkers Jeannie Choe and Steven Tomlinson of The Design Can - can apparently bear 136kg. Better still is its (de)construction: the table, which costs US$161 (birch top) or US$184 (acrylic top), consists of four identical parts and one square surface, making it ideal for flat storage and shipping. It is available through New York store The Future Perfect, which also sells supersonic-looking Skew shelves (above right; $94 each) made of powder-coated cold-rolled steel.
