A sleek and rugged snapper, the Olympus ?720SW 7.1-megapixel model is touted as the world's first shock-resistant and waterproof compact digital camera. Olympus claims its latest release is the first compact digital camera to pass 1.5-metre drop-impact tests and is capable of underwater shooting to a depth of 3 metres. It is also resistant to sand and dust, which makes it ideal for taking pictures at the beach. the camera features 2.5-inch liquid crystal display, 19 megabytes of memory and a high-resolution 3x optical zoom lens. Available in silver, pink and blue, the Olympus ?720SW costs $3,480.
