Race is still wide open

Due to overwhelming interest, the Amazing Race Asia has extended its deadline to March 31. SPE Networks (Asia), who are behind the Asian version of the hit reality show, says it has been inundated with entrants. General manager Ricky Ow said: 'So far, nearly 10,000 application forms have been downloaded from our website and we have seen some excellent audition videos.'

One barrier for entrants is that one of the two team members must hold an international driving licence as standard-transmission vehicles will be used. The TV race sees teams travel from country to country, facing obstacles, detours and looking for clues. The winning team gets US$100,000.

Entry forms can be downloaded from www.axn-asia.com. Each completed application form must be submitted with a videotape of the team.
