Cardinal Joseph Zen Ze-kiun leads a Mass attended by Chief Executive Donald Tsang Yam-kuen, leaders of other religions, and more than 1,500 Catholics last night. More than 200 priests celebrated Mass at the cathedral in Caine Road. In his homily, Cardinal Zen said his recent elevation from bishop was for all Chinese. And in what was seen as a goodwill gesture to the church on the mainland, one of the Bible readings was in Putonghua.
