3X optical zoom. (Price: $2,480)

Nokia 3250: Nokia's new 3250 handset is targeted at people who want an MP3 player with their mobile phone. Like SonyEricsson's popular Walkman phones, the 3250 comes with a host of special features for music lovers, such as dedicated music buttons, longer battery life and automatic music pause during an incoming call. It stores music on a MicroSD card which holds about 750 songs. The 3250 also features a twist design that turns the screen 90 degrees to shoot photos using the built-in 2 megapixel camera. (Price: $3,280)

Panasonic VDR-D300: Panasonic has extended its

3 CCD series of camcorders with the VDR-D300. Compared with the company's earlier models, which used MiniDVs for image storage, the VDR-D300 uses DVDs. This enables you to record video and play back the footage straight on your computer or DVD player without having to transfer it from a MiniDV. Like previous Panasonic models, the VDR-D300 is equipped with a lens from camera specialist Leica and has a 10X optical zoom. (Price: $8,980)
