A cut above the rest

If you are wondering this morning why you have a shaved head, or a mohawk, Kiwi Grant Lesueur was probably responsible.

This is the third time the 44-year-old (pictured left) has operated a free roving barbershop at the South Stand.

'I have only shaved 10 heads this year,' Lesueur said. 'I forgot my shaver on Saturday, which was a shame because I could have shaved a lot of heads because it was so hot.

'I started doing it four years ago. My record was 60 heads at the Hong Kong Sevens last year.'

Lesueur, who works in the US as an international marketing director for a software company, is serious about this part-time 'hobby'.

However, you need not run away when you see him at next year's Sevens, because he imposes a strict rule.

'I only shave people who consent,' he said. 'Shaving is my passion.'
