Four accused of posing as officers

Three Iranians and an Afghan have been charged in a Guangzhou court with stealing while masquerading as international police officers. According to Xinhua, the men are vagrants.

Prosecutors alleged the three stopped a Mauritian man in August and stole Euro3,000 ($28,400), US$1,000 and 10,000 yuan after flashing fake police identity badges. Five days later, they allegedly stole US$2,327 and 700 yuan from a Pakistani.
