Clooney showing upsets audience
The audience was left disappointed yesterday when George Clooney replaced Sydney Pollack at a screening of the Hong Kong International Film Festival.
Sketches of Frank Gehry, a documentary by Sydney Pollack about one of the world's most famous architects, was scheduled for the second screening at Hong Kong City Hall at 12.30pm.
But it was pulled out suddenly and replaced by George Clooney's award-winning political expose Good Night, and Good Luck.
Festival executive director Peter Tsi Ka-kei said programme changes at film festivals were common all over the world. He said the decision was made by the film's owner and it was beyond the festival's control.
