Talk to me, pleads Chan

Tired of being picked on by tabloid journalists, singer Eason Chan Yick-shun wants to improve relations with the paparazzi.

'I want to know what they're doing and how they feel,' he said. 'Let's talk and communicate more.'

Chan jokingly proposed a more drastic plan of action. 'Maybe I should ask my domestic helpers to dress as paparazzi and mingle with them and collect information,' said the 31-year-old (below).

The singer - who's recorded a duet with Canto-pop king Jacky Cheung Hok-yau for lyricist Lin Xi and composer Ronald Ng Lok-shing's album, Perfect Match - also put paid to rumours that he was buying a house for more than $100 million. Chan said he just did vocals for a property company TV ad: 'I need to work really hard before I can have such a plan.'
