Veteran magician Harry Wong Cher-hong will give magic workshops today at 2.30pm, 5pm and 8pm, and tomorrow at 11am, 2.30pm and 5pm, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre.

The workshop is for anyone interested in magic. Wong's magic tricks combine comedy and music. In the workshop, he teaches participants to enhance their sense of humour, creativity and confidence through playing tricks.

Wong is also a musician and has been involved in a variety of media, from hosting television shows to appearing live on radio. He has worked with children with muscular diseases because he believes teaching them magic tricks can bring about physical benefits.

Admission to the workshop is $120 and $160 for students, and $230 to $320 for adults. Reservations from HK Ticketing on 31 288 288.


About 100 ancient Chinese weapons are on display until September 20 at the Hong Kong Museum of Coastal Defence. The exhibition offers visitors an insight into the military tactics, art and cultural beliefs of pre-Han China.

A highlight of the exhibition is a knife unearthed in Gansu province 4,000 years ago. Also featured are jade axes which were used in ritual sacrifices in the bronze age.
