Lee: 1993 a good year
THE chairman of the stock exchange, Charles Lee Yeh-kwong, says 1993 has been a record year in many ways for Hong Kong in terms of turnover and issuance.
Mr Lee, welcoming delegates to the Asia Pacific Issuers and Investors Forum yesterday at the Grand Hyatt hotel, said: ''Hong Kong is important to investors for two points. It is a good place with good potential in its own right and it provides an important springboard into China.'' Around 700 delegates are attending the two-day conference.
