A book written by two children whose father died from Sars inspired Vance Yip Sze-kei to write an award-winning poem to express her empathy for the children. Yesterday she collected her second prize in the junior category of a Sun Hung Kai Properties book club competition, with To Kit-ming, 65, who took first place in the senior category.

Vance's own father died when she was a year old. Mr To wrote a love poem to his wife.
