How the ESF will be run
Key features of the ESF governance reform:
ESF foundation of 134 members and its executive committee to be replaced by 25-member board of governors.
Board to include 15 independent members, including two legislative councillors, three school council chairmen and 10 members appointed by a nominations committee.
Parents to be represented by seven members; principals, teachers and support staff by one each.
Board to have responsibility for managing foundation.
ESF role to be widened to include educational services for raising revenue.
Audit, finance and remuneration standing committees to report to board of governors.
