EMPEROR International Holdings is considering a HK$258 million Swiss franc-denominated five-year convertible note issue.

Daiwa Securities Bank (Switzerland) has agreed in principle to issue up to 50 million Swiss francs in convertible bearer notes due on December 31, 1998.

The notes will be mainly placed with investors in Switzerland and will not be offered for sale in Hong Kong.

Emperor International intends to use the proceeds for investment and to pay for the development of properties in Hong Kong and China.
