It's time to thank Mum for everything

I recently stopped talking to my mother because she made some decisions without considering my feelings.

During this 'cold war', I I felt lonely and I missed her. I actually regretted what I did. I should never get angry with her; she loves me so much.

Do you often make your mother angry? Even if you do, she will still love you and forgive you.

This Sunday is Mother's Day. Let's think about what our mothers have done for us and say 'thank you' to them.

Thanks for your letter, Pui-wai. A 'cold war' does sound dangerous - sometimes not talking to someone is even worse than saying mean things to them. I'm glad to hear that you have made up.

Communication is the key to a good relationship with our parents. It's not always easy to tell our parents things, especially when that thing is that we are annoyed with them!

Next time your Mum does something that upsets you, rather than having a 'cold war' I suggest you try writing her a note. Don't blame her for anything, just focus on telling her how you feel and how her actions have made you feel.

I'm sure your Mum is in for a treat this Sunday!
