Dutch champs warm up for Soccer 7s
The youth squad of Dutch champions PSV Eindhoven will prepare for their appearance at the 2006 HKFC Philips Lighting International Soccer 7s by playing in an 11-a-side match against the Hong Kong under-23 side tomorrow.
The game will be played at Hong Kong Football Club (HKFC), the venue for the Soccer 7s, which kicks off on Friday.
The PSV youth academy has produced such stars as Ruud Gullit, Ronald Koeman, Jaap Stam, and more recently, Manchester United's Ruud Van Nistelrooy and Chelsea's Arjen Robben.
PSV's Ismail Aissati was one of the players of the tournament at last year's Soccer 7s. He has followed this up by forcing his way into the PSV first team and becoming the youngest Dutch player to ever play in the Champions League.
Aissati is one of seven young stars recently named in the Philips Lighting Soccer 7s Hall of Fame.
PSV Eindhoven have been drawn in Pool B with HKFC, Shanghai Shooters and Scottish giants Glasgow Celtic.
