Patrons who ring the bell can buy everyone in the bar a round of shooters for $500. So, whether there are 10 people or 100, everyone in the house gets a free shot on you. The idea is to make the ordinary barfly feel like a big shot. Igor's Group, which manages Typhoon, at 37 Lockhart Road, says there are no restrictions on how many times it's rung by the same person or how many times it's rung each night.
No doubt there'll be much nightly abuse as sobriety levels decrease.
