MOUNT SAPPHIRE looks banker material in a quinella in the fourth race at this evening's Happy Valley meeting.

This young, lightly-raced gelding has improved physically over the summer and came back to simply saunter home last time out when racing over course and distance.

There are not too many races run here where the winning margins are four lengths by six but that is what he managed and his victory was as easy as the distances suggest.

Star Greeting is my second pick and my suggestion for the main quinella with Mount Sapphire.

He benefited from the move up in distance to a mile last time, finishing really strongly to win on the post. Another step up to 1,800 metres should suit.

Also throw in Intermac Supreme with Mount Sapphire and take him in a very small saver quinella with Star Greeting just in case.

Intermac Supreme appeared not to stay 2,000 metres on equitrack last time out.
