Mature leader needed to mould plastics firm
A senior position in the plastic injection moulding field is available for someone who can work under pressure and enjoys working in the mainland.
US-based company Nypro is looking for a general manager for its Tianjin office to take responsibility for the plant's strategy and long-term planning. The company specialises in integrated plastics solutions, from product design to delivery.
A strong and mature leader with more than 15 years of experience in manufacturing or operations at a multinational, with at least five years spent in a senior management position, is required.
All functions - including HR, manufacturing, quality assurance, engineering and materials management - come under the general manager's supervision for making high-quality plastic products.
The manager must keep in mind the customer's best interests in terms of cost and product quality.
Responsibilities will include directing the operational efforts in manufacturing to ensure compliance with the organisation's policies.
A good head for numbers is essential as the chosen candidate will be in charge of capital requirements and planning for the firm, and will also manage operations costs, control material management programmes and enhance profitability.
Other duties will include examining the operations of competing companies and incorporating technologies and processes to improve the firm's operational performance.
