IF you need something to keep out the winter weather and you wouldn't mind helping a worthy cause, pay a visit to one of Operation Santa Claus' oldest friends.

Esprit, which has been helping to raise funds for the past four years, has come up with a special Christmas collection with all takings boosting yesterday's total of $425,013.

This year the company has come up with a cotton knit turtle-neck sweater for $185 and a matching cardigan for $245.

When you buy a sweat-er or cardigan from the collection the tag is put into the Esprit Christmas draw. The winner will be announced on December 31, and will receive a $5,000 voucher.

Stars of the RTHK Radio 3 pantomine Peter Pan were at Pacific Place yesterday to launch the new collection, featuring an unbelievably nasty Captain Hook (Martin Clarke) and everyone's favourite fairy, Tinkerbell (Larry Ottaway).

Contributions to the fund can be dropped into boxes at all outlets of Mad Dogs, the Body Shop, Oliver's and Esprit.
