Science and education will be enriched with new knowledge about the universe and environment. In the future, space travel will be more common. Man may also discover some new species and delicious food and bring them back to the Earth for everyone to try. If we put more effort in space exploration, nothing is impossible.

Zee Leung Man-chi, 16

Technology is developing so quickly that in the next 10 years, humans will probably be able to travel out of the Solar System. We may reach another galaxy and encounter extra-terrestrials. If extra-terrestrials joined forces with us, our development would become more advanced. But advanced technology also hurts the environment. The most worrying would be accidents or wars which use nuclear bombs.

Patrick Lee Pak-chuen, 17

La Salle College

We will be light-years ahead, not in terms of time, but in terms of our depth of knowledge. With the new growth of technology in recent years, we'll know more about the world around us. New inventions are still popping up everyday, and I believe that we will attain go much further into space. Although space research has been criticised as it uses huge amounts of resources, I believe the resources are being put into good use for the future of mankind.

Sally Lam Wai-ying, 17

PLK Vicwood KT Chong Sixth Form College

In the 21st century, space technology has been advancing fast. Many countries have been developing their own space technology, including sending satellites and astronauts into space. In the foreseeable future we hope that we can find more usable resource in the space, and maybe send an astronaut to Mars!

Alice Yeung Min-wing, 15

SKH Bishop Mok Sau Tseng Secondary School

People will have a chance to visit space themselves in the next 10 years. They may travel to Mars and build entertainment facilities there. People may also try to look for energy resources. Everyone knows that the Earth is running out of natural resources and it's very important for us to find new ones. People will also invent a more powerful rocket so they can travel to farther planets, such as Pluto.

Bosco Wong Chun-him, 17

St Joseph's College

Since the Earth has many problems, I believe that in the coming 10 years scientists will focus on finding ways to save the earth rather than find a new planet to live on. This is our home. We love the Earth.
