Exhibition Highlights

Various models of the Segway Human Transporter, a self-balancing personal vehicle designed for smooth or rough terrain (pictured below), will be demonstrated at Asian Securitex. 'Asian Securitex will provide us with the opportunity to demonstrate the Segway HT in its true form - as an individual mobility enhancement tool - to a number of leaders in the security industry throughout Asia,' said Matt McGuire, managing director of JCAM Advanced Mobility/Segway SAR, the machine's sole distributor in Hong Kong, Macau and southern China.

Jardine Engineering Corporation will showcase its business solutions in building management systems, security systems, innovative energy efficiency and environmentally friendly systems, building products and also the latest building product trends at Asian Building Technologies 2006. It will display the latest technology in trace detectors for explosives, chemical agents and narcotics, and demonstrate how to improve the performance of HVAC systems by means of automatic cleaning systems or solid liquid separation systems. Chief development officer T. Y. Ngiam said the show was 'an excellent vehicle' to showcase products to a wide range of professionals and to establish relationships.

Yook Tong Electric sees Asian Elenex as an opportunity to demonstrate on-site its bulky products, including its Space Cannon Searchlights such as those fitted on top of buildings for the Harbour Lighting Show, and innovative lighting products such as the Orbik emergency light with self-testing circuit board, mosquito lamps incorporating an exhaust fan to trap insects, and cable joints with insulated connections. Director Peter Wong said Asian Elenex was an effective venue to meet new clients. 'It is not a wheel and deal platform but a gathering event for industries every two years,' he said.
