Players can sharpen skills

Hong Kong will be provided with the perfect opportunity to get match practice in preparation for December's Asian Games in this weekend's Philips Holland Cup 50th anniversary international tournament at Hong Kong Football Club.

And the opportunities don't get any bigger as Hong Kong will have the chance to rub shoulders with some of the best players to have played for the Holland national squad, whose members include 2000 Sydney Olympic gold medallists and members from the country's victorious Champions Trophy campaigns.

The Hong Kong national squad, who have qualified for the Asian Games, will not take part as a team as their members have split up to represent either their own club - such as Shaheen or Hong Kong Football Club - or the President's XI.

'All the players are looking forward to the tournament and we are expecting a good weekend's hockey,' said Hong Kong Hockey Association vice-president Billy Dillon.
