Foxxy laddie

A film version of cult television series Miami Vice is due out this summer, starring Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell. Oscar-winner Foxx, who plays detective Ricardo Tubbs, will be wearing Boss Black by Hugo Boss.

Yohji Yamamoto will produce a line of co-branded bags, travel cases and accessories for Italian luggage brand Mandarina Duck that will be launched next spring.

Label change Mischa Barton has been chosen as the new face for French label Morgan. The ex-O.C. star currently works with US clothing label Bebe.

Air time

Italian label Gucci will broadcast its 2007 women's cruise collection live from the Penthouse at Milk Studios in New York. The show will be aired on Gucci's website on June 14, followed by an interview with creative director Frida Giannini.

Show stopper

Belgian designer Martin Margiela has been invited by the Chambre Syndicale de la Haute Couture in Paris to show his latest collection of handmade clothes during the official couture shows, from July 5 to 8. Instead of a complete catwalk show, the designer is planning a static presentation.

Better Red

Instead of showcasing in Milan, Giorgio Armani will present his spring/summer 07 Emporio Armani women's show at London Fashion Week on September 21. The event coincides with the launch of his Red capsule collection. Armani is one of five brands participating in the Red initiative launched by singer Bono last December to raise funds to combat HIV/Aids in Africa.
