Applicants should have three years to five years of experience in wireless applications and an engineering degree in electrical, electronics or telecommunications.
The engineer should also have the knowledge required to provide frequency and parameter planning for radio networks.
The applicant should have experience in conducting long-term resource planning. He or she will also be asked to recommend expansion and resource reallocation plans.
The engineer should have thorough technical knowledge and a strong analytical ability with a knack for approaching problems from different perspectives to come up with creative solutions.
The ideal candidate will have an outgoing personality and strong negotiation skills because the job will involve co-ordinating with equipment vendors.
The engineer should be able to work independently and under pressure.
A passport is a must as the job involves extensive travelling in the Asia-Pacific region.
The ideal candidate should be fluent in English and Cantonese, while the ability to speak other languages or dialects such as Putonghua or any of the Malaysian or Indian languages will be an advantage.
