Thieves around the world have developed creative techniques when it comes to stealing from tourists. As a result, travellers spend a lot of their time keeping an eye on their bag. Help, however, is at hand, in the shape of secure travel-bag range Pacsafe.

The core technology of the bags is an interlocking security system called the eXomesh. It uses a combination of lightweight, flexible, high-tensile 1.5mm stainless-steel cables and crimps to create a slash-proof protective mesh cell around luggage or valuables. Bags are also snatch-proof thanks to reinforced straps and belts that can be unclipped and attached to the arm of a chair, while a unique feature that allows the owner to lock the zipper makes it tamper-proof.

Both high- and medium-security bags are available, depending on your needs. The company plans to launch a women's line next year as well as a selection of computer bags. Prices range from US$20 for a neck wallet to US$250 for a high-security duffel bag.
