A mentally handicapped man fights for custody of his seven-year-old daughter, and in the process teaches his cold-hearted lawyer the value of love and family.

Sam Dawson has the mental capacity of a seven-year-old.

He works at a Starbucks and is obsessed with the Beatles.

He has a daughter with a homeless woman and she abandons them as soon as they leave the hospital.

He names his daughter Lucy Diamond (after the Beatles song), and raises her.

But when she reaches the age of seven herself, Sam's limitations start to become a problem; she's intentionally holding back at school to avoid looking smarter than him.

The authorities take her away and Sam shames high-priced lawyer Rita Harrison into taking his case for free. In the process, he teaches her a great deal about love, and whether it's really all you need.

Our traveller Katy Haswell visits Belgium and Luxembourg, two countries overlooked despite being at the crossroads of Europe, and finds that while they're small in stature, they're big in attractions.

Starting in Antwerp in Belgium, Katy visits the stunning townhouse of the famous Renaissance painter Rubens before giving in to her sweet tooth at one of the many chocolate shops.

The city is also the centre of the world's diamond trade and Katy goes to the district to learn about its ancient traditions.

She eventually ends up in the capital, Brussels, where she discovers art nouveau, sea snail street food, the EU headquarters, cartoon murals and the medieval festival of the Ommegang held in its central square.

Hippos are reported to kill more humans than any other animal in Africa. Weighing up to 3,000kg, male hippos have teeth more than 30cm long. They may be vegetarians, but these short-tempered brawlers will fight to the death over territory and the hippo with the biggest mouth is the winner.

Bull sharks are blamed for more attacks on humans than any other species of shark. Just one-tenth the weight of the hippo, they more than make up in aggression what they lack in size. They are the pit bull terriers of the shark world, and they have been found with the remains of dogs, people, and even hippos in their stomachs. When a hungry bull shark hones in on a hippo, the stage is set for a mighty face-off.

The extravagant, often controversial, whims of Paris and Nicky Hilton stand in stark contrast to the humble beginnings of the celebrated hotel chain that bears the Hilton name.

Born in New Mexico, Paris' grandfather was the first son of Norwegian immigrants. During Conrad's youth his father owned a general store and ran a makeshift boarding house for weary railroad travellers that would introduce his eldest son to the hospitality industry.
