IRISH DANCE COMES TO HK

Internationally acclaimed Irish dancer Michael Flatley will spearhead his powerful new dance work Celtic Tiger tomorrow at 8pm at the Convention and Exhibition Centre in Wan Chai.

Flatley began dancing professionally in the 1980s with Irish band the Chieftains. He began the process of liberating traditional Irish dance by incorporating arm movements and heart-stopping rhythms into the traditional steps.

Celtic Tiger fuses the spirit of Ireland and its history with dance and music. The show's first half portrays the Irish people's quest for freedom and the nobility of their spirit. The second half builds on images of modern Ireland and celebrates new life in America and across the globe.

Tickets cost $290, $590, $890 and $1290 and reservations can be made through HK Ticketing on
